What better way to close out 2016 then with a NYE wedding? Natasha and Steve chose to celebrate their special day with their closest friends on the final day of the year. A perfect December day delivered clear skies and a warm balmy night. The Scented Gardens in South Perth set the scene for the ceremony. A small garden setting hidden away from the hustle and bustle. Once the formalities had concluded, we made our way into the city centre to the Old Treasury Building. Once we made the most of the endless mix of old textured walls and glossy new buildings, we shot on over to the Applecross foreshore. With the sun already set and an orangey/blue glow lingering, I quickly threw on the boardies and jumped into the eerie/murky/jellyfish-ridden Swan River to get a silhouette shot from water level. The water was actually quite refreshing. Natasha and Steve held the reception in their backyard...and wow...it was by far one of the most amazing backyard receptions I have seen in a long time. The lighting and styling was incredible. The night continued with a mix of questionable dance moves and an epic karaoke cover of Billy Joel's ‘‘we didn't start the fire'', before the newlyweds rung in 2017 with family, friends and a whole lot of sparklers.
