As soon as you have your wedding date and venue booked in, the next step is to lock in your photographer. During the peak season (November to April), prime dates can be booked out 12-18 months in advance. Booking in your photographer sooner rather than later is a safe move!
Having an engagement shoot prior to your wedding day is quickly becoming a popular request. Whilst not essential, it does give the couple a chance to get familiar and comfortable with the photographer and with being photographed. It is also a great way to scout out potential locations for photos on your wedding day.
Through experience, I have found that having a second photographer is a must. For that reason, I always shoot with an assistant. The second angle covered and the special moments that are captured whilst having two on the job, is amazing. Smaller more intimate weddings may only require one photographer.
I aim to have the photos finished, packaged up and back to you within 6 weeks. I will post a selection of images and a few words about your day on my blog the day after your wedding...as a little sneak peek!
The finalised images are delivered in high resolution on a personalised USB. The USB is stored within a hand-made wooden keepsake box containing 50 6x4'' prints. When it comes to the number of final images, I don't shoot for a quota on the day as I just capture the day as it unfolds, but I generally aim for 400-500 final images.
Yes, oh yes! I love to travel. My work has taken me to Indonesia, Ireland and all over Western Australia. I would love to travel for your special day.
